Pages in Space

Publishing one’s thoughts and work has greatly expanded due to the advent of the Internet. For the most part, the freedom to
publish has been given to the public via social media and digital spaces. However, physical spaces and publishing are still present and are adapting to this “post digital” environment. The project “Pages in Space” explores the relationship between traditional physical publishing and post digital posting via a specific subject.

Concept

Our team was given the subject of “work” for our project. We interpreted “work” as employed labor. Through our research of articles, social media, and images we found much inspiration from bureaucratic forms and spaces, we also found the shift that was happening to the idea of work in the post digital era. To illustrate this idea we decided on a transition from traditional analog processes and ideas to expressive and digital aesthetics. We did this both in our visual concepts and the themes that were found throughout our research.
