Thoughts on Design
I believe design should create equitable grounds to encourage participation, conversation, and inclusivity. Lowering the barriers to participate, lowering the barriers to be heard, I believe everyone should have a seat at the table. I believe design should facilitate the conversations to challenge oppressive aspects of society. It has the power to create insights and help people mobilize and act on their own terms and interventions. Whether it’s challenging oppressive algorithms, addressing the New Jim Code, or creating liberatory organizational structures, I believe design has the opportunity to work with other key stakeholders to challenge and shift these oppressive systems. Design is only one way of many to think about the world and I’m excited to continue to see and hear how others perceive the world.

This could either make me look really cool or really lame
My interests are always changing but I’m currently interested in critical code theory, speculating about our future ontological relationship with nature, and companion species.

Let’s tell each other stories, jokes, or get some tacos.
